OBJECTIVES
Our skills and various fields of action lead us to meet people with varied training needs. In response to the needs of coastal stakeholders, we offer specific tailor-made modules, jointly developed with groups of stakeholders, or various establishments seeking to train their staff on targeted subjects, whether on the theoretical and/or practical side. These modules take the form of either intensive training courses lasting from a day to weeks, or specific sessions spread out over time. These modules can be planned in our facilities in Marseille or on the field of application concerned, in the Mediterranean Sea or elsewhere.
MPA ENGAGE
MPA ENGAGE is a European project set up in several protected natural areas, including the Calanques National Park. It aims to help Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) face climate change. We intervene here to train two audiences who are participating in this project: the rangers of the Calanques National Park in charge of carrying out field monitoring, and citizen divers who use the same protocols to complete this monitoring. We are training professional and recreational divers in two standardized protocols centered, for one, on censuses of fish species indicative of climate change (e.g. common wrasse and ornate wrasse, parrot fish, painted comber) and for the other, on evaluations of mortalities affecting red gorgonians.
Formation includes 2 or 3 dives for each protocol and 1 theoretical session.
