Since 2017, Septentrion Environnement has been supporting the Lycée des Calanques (LDC) in the creation and animation of the sub-specialty “Sea and Coastline” sub-specialty BTEC Higher National Diploma “Gestion des Milieux Naturels et de la Faune” (GMNF). Our multi-year pedagogical agreement with the LDC includes pedagogical engineering and the teaching and practical work at sea for the “Sea and Coastal” modules in the first, second and third year of the diploma.
This includes in particular 1) the pedagogical engineering of the specialized contents and pedagogical progressions (EIE Mer et littoral, EIE Milieu marin and MAP Diagnostic des écosystèmes marins); 2) the coordination of the local stakeholders such as our trainers in ecology and our state-certified instructors in scuba diving, trainers of the Ecole de la Marine de Plaisance (EMP) and speakers of Protected Natural Areas; 3) the realization of face-to-face lessons and practical work at sea requiring the organization of outings on board the Septentrion Environnement’s ship 4) the centralization of evaluations and organization of the passing of exams and certifications (Sports Federation and Maritime Prefecture).
